SallyVeiraPhotoSally Veira is a Human Resources Executive experienced in providing strategic direction in all areas of Human Resources.  Sally holds professional certifications in both Employee Benefits and Compensation. She has very strong statistical analysis, leadership, and project management skills, and has extensive experience developing and implementing total reward programs including base, bonus, incentives, commissions, retirement, and equity plans.

Ms. Veira is the Executive Vice President at Veira Partners, a Nebraska based company.  In this role she provides Human Resources consulting with a focus on talent acquisition (staffing) and compensation & benefits development, implementation, and administration.

Previously, Sally served as the Associate Vice President of Compensation, Benefits, HRIS, and Payroll for Quinnipiac University located in Hamden, CT. She was responsible for the strategic design, implementation, communication, and management of cost effective Compensation and Benefit Plans.  She had overall responsibility for payroll administration and HRIS implementation; chaired the Retirement Plan Fiduciary Committee; and was a team member on the University’s Union Negotiation Committee. 

Prior to that, Ms. Veira served as Human Resources Director of Domestic and Global Compensation and Benefits for “Save the Children”, a non-government agency led by Charlie MacCormack for International Programs with Mark Shriver Kennedy leading the US Headquarters located in Washington D.C. Among some of Sally’s greatest achievements in addition to creating a Compensation, Benefits, and Total Rewards Program at Save the Children was the creation of recruiting and on-boarding processes to expedite the hire and deployment of employees to disaster areas as well as writing the “Standard Operating Procedures” for emergency evacuations.   She also spent time in Haiti implementing a new payroll process which lead to the Agency’s success after the horrific Haiti earthquake of 2010.

Ms. Veira has held previous positions within Human Resources within the following industries:  Telecommunications, Internet Marketing, Gamining, Health Insurance, Gaming and Publishing. She holds a B.A. degree from Lawrence Technological University in Southfield Michigan, a Certified Compensation Professional “CCP” certificate, and a Certified Benefits Professional “CBP” certificate from the World at Work Association.
